YMS Chairman's message 2006

Welcome~! It is my great honour to be the Chairman of YMS for session 06-07.

My involvement in the IMechE began in 2000 and acted as the Chairman of PolyU Student Chapter. I also witnessed the establishment of the HKU Student Chapter and HKUST Student Chapter. I realize that IMechE HK Branch is organizing the updated and professional training for members who are interested in mechanical engineering. That is a large motivation to drive me to join IMechE. It could let my eyes widened and explore in this profession, and would like to develop myself with IMechE.

YMS consists of a group of young engineers, who are of mechanical engineering background and now working in different disciplines, and representatives from three local universities. I am very glad to work with this big group of young engineers who have the ambition to serve our fellow members.

On behalf of YMS, I would like to make a promise here that we would wholeheartedly try our very best to serve all members and fight for the greatest benefits for our members. Please do feel free to let us know of any event or function that you would like to have in coming year.

Lastly, I hope all members would have a fruitful year!
