About YMS

Who are we?

Young Member Section of IMechE Hong Kong Branch is a non-profit group that works to promte engineering through organising visits, seminars, strengthening communities, and campaigning for change. We are an affiliate of IMechE.

We are a group of dynamic and enthusiastic young mechanical engineers who come together in YMS, working hard organising events for local Young Members of IMechE.

What we do?

The YMS works for the best for its members, helping young engineers to gain skills, and direction to get chartered status, and create a bright new future for mankind. We are also active in the global arena, addressing issues on Energy, Environment, Education and Transport.

During the year, we organise a wide range of diferent activities:

• Technical visits, seminars and workshops
• Skill-development events such as presentation skills workshops
• Social events such as gatherings and team building camps
• Competitions such as Speak Out for Engineering presentation competition
• volunteer service to the community
